Journal Article: Engineering Performance of Lime Stabilized Soil Admixed with Natural Materials

Hello!!!

Here is another article for the research collection.

I would like to just put up the abstract as the paper details are already given in the citation format given above instead of cluttering the post with too much details as I have been doing in earlier posts with research tag. Also for posts with research  tag, there no longer will be a download counter. (As it is a bit tedious to set it up and I am not finding the time to do it as well.)

Abstract

Traditional engineering practices and materials adopted by ancient civilizations have been successful in their engineering performance. In this study, a traditional combination of materials viz. Lime, Jaggery and Gall nut (Terminalia Chebula) has been investigated to study their effect on soil stabilization. This combination
of three materials was traditionally used in the preparation of lime mortar and concrete whereas this study investigated their usage in soil stabilization. From this study, it was observed that this combination improved the properties of the soil in all aspects.

Key Words - Soil stabilization, Jaggery, Gall nut, Lime, traditional materials
