Here is the fourth installment in the series of GIT Notes. Chapter IV of CE 2033 - Ground Improvement Techniques deals with Soil Reinforcement and Geosynthetics. This presentation deals with the principle of soil reinforcement, the components of reinforced earth, the failure mechanisms of reinforced earth walls, the materials used for reinforcement and the factors affecting the performance of reinforced soil.
